Rock Me Amadeus!

Historians have recently discovered that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is the Grandfather of Turntablism.

While cataloguing a long forgotten room of antiquities taken from Mozart's estate the historian's uncovered a pair of porcelain turntables and a mixer.

"A discovery of this magnitude changes everything." said lead historian Steven Q. Steve. "These turntables pre-date what is generally accepted as the birth of turntablism by some 200 years."

"What's more remarkable," continued Steve, "is that Mozart was ripping up the decks 100 years before they were even invented."

The phonograph, or turntable, was invented in the mid-19th century in France. Until this recent discovery the earliest known use of the turntable as an instrument was around 1930.
