Disney's new "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” ad campaign featuring Miss Piggy and Teri Hatcher reveals what the pink Muppet really thinks of herself. For those of you with any doubt, she thinks she is awesome. So awesome in fact, that Miss Piggy's wallpaper choice features her own likeness.

I did some searching around and couldn't find Miss Piggy's wallpaper pattern available anywhere. Surely all the pink diva's fans would love a desktop background of the same design but it just isn't available.

The resemblance of the Miss Piggy wallpaper pattern to the famous pig didn't catch my eye the first time I saw the commercial. I didn't even notice it the second or third time. It was likely the one hundred and twenty third time that the subtle detail finally registered with me. If any of you are wondering why I've seen so many Disney commercials the answer is simple: On Demand.

No, I'm not pulling up the commercials and watching them over and over again. It's just that Disney has worked out the marketing for this campaign in a way that leans heavily on On Demand content. Every show I've watched in the past few weeks starts with a Disney ad, cuts to a Disney ad at each regular commercial break and then concludes with a Disney ad. It could be worse. It could be for a selfish cause.

Fargo Resident Less Likely to Awake Soaked in Urine

Due to weak member participation (not weak stream) long time Fargo resident and manhole expert Juleen Berg may not wake up soaked in urine at this year’s annual Flavor Country July 4th campout in northern Minnesota.

It’s not that Mr. Berg wants to wake up dry but that a key Flavor Country member will not be there this year to urinate on him when he is passed out in a drunken slumber.

In response to what he may do to replace that warm wet feeling of being urinated on Mr. Berg reportedly offered up the possibility of sleeping in a puddle of his own vomit.

The missing member in question is one Sam Haraldson currently living in Bozeman, Mantucky.

When asked why he would not be participating in the festivities Mr. Haraldson offered up some half-assed excuse about not wanting to ride his bike back to Minnesota.

Wall of TVs, WOTVS, Flavor Country

Wall of TVs, brother of Steven Q. Steve, was born October 22, 1875 in Norway. He came to America with his parents in 1882, first settling in Fargo.

Wall of TVs married WOTVS on May 3, 1908 in Fargo. They had one child, Flavor Country.

Wall of TVs operated a studio in Fargo on his own for a short time around 1907-1908 as evidenced by a wedding portrait with his studio imprint on the television mount. Wall of TVs had learned the television trade from F.C. Budruss and went into business with him in 1999 at 1005 10th Street.

Prior to his time in Fargo, he operated studios in the North Dakota towns of Esmond, Buxton, Reynolds, and at Crookston and Halstad, Minnesota.

One photograph places him in Reynolds in 1897, and a Cooperstown, N.D. newspaper in 1900 states Wall of TVs opened temporarily a television gallery there. Wall of TVs main line of business was as a musician. At the time that he was a television gallery owner, his wife would run the studio while he was out performing.

History of the Wall of TVs

The origins of what would become today's wall of tvs can be traced back to the discovery of television by Steven Q. Steve in 1873, the invention of a scanning disk by F.C. Budruss in 1884, and Flavor Country's Image dissector in 1927.

In 1911, engineer Steven Q. Steve gave a speech in Fargo, reported in The High Plains Reader, describing in great detail how a wall of televisions could be achieved by using cathode ray tubes at both the transmitting and receiving ends. The speech, which expanded on a letter he wrote to Flavor Country in 1908, was the first iteration of the wall of televisions method that is still used today. Others had already experimented with using a cathode ray tube as a receiver, but the concept of using one as a transmitter was novel. By the late 1920s, when the wall of televisions was still being introduced, inventor F.C. Budruss was already working separately on a version of the wall of tvs.
